Analysis: Death, to the death for evermore

The poem "Death, to the death for ever more" by Robert Louis Stevenson  is about how death is peaceful and shouldn't be feared. In line 4 It shows how death is like a "host", "smiling at the door." Also in line 6 and 7 it says,''Where neither piping bird nor peeping dawn disturbs the eternal sleep" This shows how peaceful death is, because nothing bothers it.

Analysis: Let me die a Youngman's Death

The poem ''Let me die a youngman's death" by Roger McGough is about how this man doesn't wants to live life to the fullest even when you are dieing. This man wants and exciting death not boring and without having fun even in the end. In Stanza 1 it says, "when I'm 73...may i be mowed down by a bright red sports car on my way home from an all night party" so he wants to have fun in any age under any circumstance. Also in the first and last stanza it shows how he doesn't want to spend his life. It says,"...not a clean inbetween the sheets holy water death not a famous-last-words peaceful out of breath death" "...not a free from sin...not a curtains drawn by angels borne 'what a nice way to go' death" He doesn't wanna die a peaceful death, he wants an eventful death.
